Antonio And Rafael's In Taal Review

Last November 2019, the town of Taal in Batangas was one of the many featured areas mostly in TV news programs about on their recently concluded Taal Christmas Lights happened in the Heritage Town area but as I had a number of Christmas parties, we only had time to go a few days before they about to close the festivities in the first week of January 2020

As the festivities will start as early as 6 pm, I was on the look-out for probably the most affordable foodplace that I can find nearest to the venue (not on conveniece stores) thru Google Maps and from their variety of choices and that unique lomi, I chose to have my afternoon snack at Antonio and Rafael's

While on travel, I already had my target which is their Sisig Lomi (a first timer for me) and no surprise that it was one of their highlighted food choices once I faced their entrance but the resto itself is in the second floor.

That time, I saw 2 families in each table and a barkada when I arrived. I knew that with their good use of CCTV camera that one of their female crew was quickly approached me and handed off their menu. I also looked forward on their kapeng barako (but it was not available at that time and it was also a good excuse which you about to find out later)

Here comes their sisig lomi which is not 100% sisig lomi at all (that's fine for me) as I ordered the special version for 75 pesos (there is also a regular version for 55 pesos) . The toppings had some chopped kikiam, hard boiled egg, fresh shredded cabbages and pork chicharon. For me, a delicious lomi will start from the lomi itself (do not be fooled by the toppings) and it was very good to my taste that you may already forget to have it's usual condiments of toyo, calamansi and chili.

That day, I was lucky as they have free drink as their promotion which from taste, it is quite related to Nestea Red Tea (which is fine). From the interiors, service and individual comfort rooms for male and female - I will definitely gonna come back to Antonio and Rafaels to explore more of their menu and their location is on it's way from the Lipa-Lemery jeepney route. So far 4.5 out of 5.

Antonio and Rafaels is located in Zone 7, A. Delas Alas Street, Taal Batangas near EBC Family Mart and Taal Public Market. You can check out their Facebook page here
